Stewart, BC and Hyder
The town of Stewart, British Columbia & Hyder, Alaska, only highway access is west from British Columbia's Highway #37 - The Cassiar - Stewart Highway. Stewart is a UNIQUE border town attracting many tourists to their Toaster Museum, Portland Canal, Fish Creek, and Salmon Glacier. One can view the famous Bear Glacier, one of the few blue glaciers with the easiest access in the world, from one of the roadside turnouts scenic view areas, from this highway.
Hyder is a census-designated place in Prince of Wales-Hyder Census Area, Alaska, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 97. It is located at the head of the Portland Canal, a 115 km (70 mile) long fjord which forms a portion of the border between the United States and Canada at the southeastern edge of the Alaska Panhandle.
